The 3-in-1 wireless charger — phone, earbuds and watch on one pad — went from gift to daily staple for many in two years. But two products both labeled "3-in-1" differ wildly: one gives the phone just 7.5W with a slow earbud case, another does 15W phone, fast watch charging and a stand. Don't shop by "how many devices"; check three things: power split, foldable portability, certification.
Read the power split first

Many 3-in-1 units fall short because total wattage is spread across three devices. WPC's Qi2 cert guarantees 15W full-speed magnetic phone charging, Qi2.2 adds 25W; watch and earbuds use dedicated coils around 5W each. Look for the Qi2/Qi2.2 badge and don't be swayed by a vague "30W total" — that's usually the sum of three ports, not per device. Elecdov's 2026 industry report also notes models with Magnetic Power Profile score clearly higher on satisfaction, since alignment is accurate and charging doesn't drop.
Desk and travel are not the same unit
For a desk unit, prioritize stability and cooling: heavier base, well-aligned coils, ideally a stand to charge while you watch. For travel, prioritize fold and weight — one that folds to card size with a built-in or magnetic-stowed cable saves the most hassle. TechSci Research expects the commercial share of multi-device chargers (offices, hotels, airports) to keep rising, so public-scene 3-in-1 units are multiplying too.
Run this checklist: 1) Qi2/Qi2.2 certified; 2) ask per-device wattage, not total; 3) desk = cooling plus stand, travel = fold plus weight; 4) passes 3C/CE/FCC. For zero thinking, go with a major brand's Qi2.2 model and you'll mostly avoid the landmines.
